These easy mid-week walks at various locations within the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park will last about 90 to 120 minutes and progress at a comfortable pace. All walks will return to the original meeting location, as indicated below. Wednesday Walkers will meet at the parking areas listed at 5:30 p.m. Participants will be required to pre-register, providing their contact information (phone & email) and a number of attendees up to 4. Registered participants will be contacted if the program is to be canceled due to inclement weather, insufficient interest, or other unforeseen circumstances. A MINIMUM OF 4 TOTAL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS are needed to avoid the program's cancellation due to lack of interest.
Lower Ferry Road to Upper Ferry Road - 2.5 Miles
Join our trail interpreter at 5:30 p.m. for this walk in Ewing Township that will introduce participants to some of the most tranquil areas along the feeder canal. With the construction and opening of the canal in the 1830s, a small village emerged here that was the center of this Wilbertha neighborhood.
