The Conserve Wildlife Matching Grants program was created in 1995 when a portion of the Motor Vehicle laws was amended to create the Conserve Wildlife dedicated motor vehicle license plate (N.J.S.A. 39:3-33.11). Of the wildlife conservation license plate’s yearly renewal fee, the law requires that $2.00 be given to the Division of Fish and Wildlife (Division) to provide grants for endangered and non-game wildlife conservation projects.
The proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey Register dated February 7, 2022.
