DEP’s Urban and Community Forestry Program Honors 2018 Green Communities Achievement Award Winners at Cherry Hill Event

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is honoring four 2018 Green Communities Achievement Award winners for outstanding contributions to urban and community forestry, Commissioner Catherine R. McCabe announced today.

Fairleigh Dickinson University – Florham campus, Meadow Lakes Senior Community in East Windsor, Mercer County, Morristown in Morris County, and Rumson in Monmouth County received their awards Friday, Oct. 19 at the New Jersey Shade Tree Federation’s 93rd Annual Conference Dinner at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, Camden County.

The Green Communities Awards annually recognizes up to four recipients for exemplary work in urban and community forestry, whether public or private. Awards are given in the categories of Individual, Municipality, Forestry/Arboricultural Industry, and Non-profit/Non-governmental Organization.
