Each individual volunteer must complete an individual registration. Volunteers are asked to arrive at their selected Beach Sweeps location at their selected arrival time (9:00 am or 10:00 am) to check in with the volunteer Beach Captain on site. Beach Captains will supply the following cleanup materials: trash bags, recycling bags, data cards, and pencils. Hand sanitizer will be provided in the registration area. Be sure to wear comfortable, sturdy walking shoes and dress according to the weather conditions. Bring your own gloves and a reusable water bottle. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring their own bucket for trash collection, as this helps to reduce the number of plastic bags used. This event is rain or shine.
