The Ho-Ho-Kus Shade Tree Commission is responsible for the regulation, planting and care of shade and ornamental trees in the Borough’s right-of-way for the purpose of preserving and enhancing the beauty and health of the Borough.
A permit is required from the Shade Tree Commission before you do work on a borough Shade Tree. The permit application is available at the Borough Hall. All letters to the Shade Tree Commission should be sent to the Commission at the Borough Hall.
Shade Tree Commissioners are unpaid volunteers appointed by the Mayor of Ho-Ho-Kus.
Shade Tree meetings are held on the second Tuesday or Wednesday (check the website & agendas for details) of each month the Borough Hall @ 7:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend and provide the Commission with comments and suggestions.
