Hackensack Riverkeeper Inc. is a non-profit public interest organization with the mission of protecting, preserving and restoring the Hackensack River Watershed. Public education outreach programs offered by Riverkeeper are the Eco-Cruise program, which is a two to three hour boat tour of the estuary commonly known as the Meadowlands; and the Canoe Project, located at Laurel Hill County Park in Secaucus.
