Description
The Forest Resource Education Center (FREC) maintains eight miles of trails which provide many recreational opportunities and feature numerous learning stations with informational kiosks on environmental topics. FREC also offers free environmental education programs at the Jackson site to schools and groups of ten or more to incorporate the outdoors into learning. Special events such as Trail Exploration Day, Full Moon Hike, Backyard Forestry in 90 Minutes, and Fall Forestry Festival, are open to the public.
