The Friends of West Windsor Open Space was established in 1996 with a mission to focus on the following objectives: 1) To promote and work for the preservation of open space and the conservation of natural resources; 2) to encourage and assist local governments in their open space and conservation programs; 3) to raise funds for financing the acquisition of land for open space and recreation purposes; 4) to foster knowledge and study of ecological and natural resources conservation;  and 5) to encourage farmland preservation;
