Teams or individuals have 5 hours on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 (7:00 a.m. to Noon) to visit sites in Gloucester County of their choice, including on our expert-led walks. Birds are identified by sight or sound. The goal is to find as many different species of birds as possible. During the noon hour, all participants gather at an outdoor pavilion at WIN Waste Innovations (formerly Wheelabrator) in Westville for lunch, T-shirts, story swapping, and door prizes.

Participation in Bird Quest costs $15.00 per person. For that modest amount, you get:

  • A colorful 2022 “Birds of Gloucester County” 100% Cotton T-shirt, available in both adult and youth sizes.
  • Lunch at the WIN/Wheelabrator Wildlife Refuge on May 7th after the competition hours.
  • A chance to win door prizes handed out after the lunch.
