2018 Owl Calling at Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center

Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center boasts 670 acres of fields, woodlands, and a formal garden designed by Mrs. Hutcheson, one of the first women landscape architects in the United States. Visit the center on Friday, March 30th, 2018 for the 2018 Owl Calling event. Early spring is a great time to listen and call for breeding owls, as courtship and nesting has already begun! Walking along woodland edges, participants will call for Screech Owls to fly in and perch aloft. They may hear Great Horned Owls singing their courtship duets, and if the weather is mild, perhaps even see courtship flights of the American Woodcock! Dr. Emile DeVito, New Jersey Conservation Foundation staff biologist, will lead this moonlight walk through Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center in Morris County.

Time: Friday, March 30th, 2018 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m

Location: Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center, 170 Longview Road , Far Hills, NJ 07931
