Wetland Clean-ups this Autumn

thumbnail photo of people who helped clean the shoreline

It's Autumn, the most active time for tropical storms and hurricanes to inundate our coastline, bringing with them trash and debris that wash ashore and affect ecosystem habitats and citizens who live in shoreline communities. Consider volunteering to help the communities of Raritan and Sandy Hook Bay!

The Bayshore Watershed Council along with the NY-NJ Baykeeper and Monmouth County Clean Communities will be sponsoring several wetland clean-ups this autumn around the Bayshore region of Raritan Bay and Sandy Hook Bay, New Jersey.

Monmouth County Clean Communities will provide necessary supplies, including garbage bags and safety vests. Please bring your own gloves and dress to get dirty.

All clean-ups are rain or shine, but heavy rain, strong winds, snow, ice, or flooded roads will cancel.

Events take place on Weekend days from the end of September – November 2016
